I’m a freelance photographer and exhibition curator, artist and writer. From Lisbon, Portugal, based in Phnom Penh for the last 8 years.

Passionate about working for NGOs in meaningful projects, collaborating with other artists and organizing exhibitions with impact — 70 to date in Cambodia.

I authored as well ‘A NEW KIND OF NATURE? as a prototype of Permaflux, a conceptual and socially-engaged art practice‘, a research paper for the official catalog of Cheongju Craft Biennale 2021 in South Korea – bronze award in the Craft City Lab competition and 2nd chapter of a long-term project on the use of upcycled waste materials for environmental awareness art installations (1st chapter exhibited in Cambodia in the Microgalleries’ Disrupting Climate Disruption: a Global Day of Action). For my work on art research, you can have a look on AFFECTIVE WALL, a multitouch intermedia instrument for realtime music and digital paintings created by the performer’s body-language through an innovative emotional analysis of movement and connection to sounds, rhythms, colors and shapes (a 19 out of 20 master thesis on Affective Computing in IST Tecnico Lisbon – research available here). A summary can be found in Another Thrill in the Wall, an Affective Eco-System Interface for Gestural Expressivity for the ACE 2011 – International Conference on Advances in Computer Entertainment Technology.
